This unique Irish rosary was handmade of Czech crystal, a custom piece dedicated to our “Golden Rose”, Queen of Ireland. In 1979 Pope John Paul II presented a golden rose to commemorate and venerate the appearance of Blessed Mother, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist at the gable wall of St. John’s Church in Knock, County Mayo 100 years earlier. Appearing in dazzling light, they silently gave focus to a lamb on the altar, our glorified Lord. It is a generous 26in. long and has a cut-out Madonna center with the Sacred Heart on the back, gold-plated. The "Hail Mary" beads throughout the body of the rosary measure 10mm and are a beautiful honey lustre. The striking golden fire- polished Czech crystal beads are graceful and unique. The "Our Father" beads are of handmade candlework with roses in the center. The Papal Crucifix measures 1 ¾ in x 5/8 in.
