Journey to some of Ireland's foremost holy places. From the megalithic tombs of Newgrange, Knowth, and Dowth in County Meath, the ecclesiastical sites of St. Declan's monastery at Ardmore in County Waterford, Boyle Abbey in County Roscommon (which took sixty years to build), Mellifont Abbey, and the famous Rock of Cashel. Ireland is famous for her countless holy wells, some of which claim to have healing powers, and her round towers and high crosses which survive from medieval times. Visit places of pilgrimage such as the basilica at Knock, the arduous climb up Croagh Patrick in Mayo (which pilgrims make on their knees) and across the famous waters of Lough Dergh.
