On the 25th year of Pope John Paul II's papacy one of the Pope's first official acts was to sign a new apostolic letter, 'Rosarium Virginis Mariae', calling the Rosary his favourite prayer and urging us to rediscover its contemplative richness. The letter announced the beginning of a world-wide 'year of the Rasary' and the addition, to the centuries old prayer of Five optional 'Mysteries of Light', that focus on episodes from Christ's public ministry. In the 'Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary', Fr. Kevin Scallon C.M. leads us in prayer and meditation and Dana in her song proclaims that Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour, the way, the truth and the life. |
