Kevin Joyce launched himself and his album "Real Rhythm" at the North American Dance Championships in Orlando. Much to his delight, he enjoyed a very successful North American Championships with the album making very positive sales in the four days there. Kevin explained that his Galway roots had a huge influence on the tunes and arrangements chosen and being a very passionate session goer, he felt that there are many beautiful traditional Irish dance tunes that very seldom reach the feis platform. With the contribution from his wife Carol who is three time World Champion he was very careful to assure that the music appealed to the dancer and “made you dance” so to speak. The album consists of selections of Reels, Slip Jigs, Jigs and Hornpipes all at metronomic speeds that are in line with the regulations of An Coimisiún Le Rinci Gaelacha.
